St Ives has four beautiful sandy beaches, the Harbour Beach, Porthminster, Porthmeor and Porthgwidden, between them offering miles of golden sand and hours of family-friendly fun. The coastal path provides some great walks that can be enjoyed while absorbing the magnificent views.
You could lose yourself for hours in the charismatic little back-streets which wind here and there, and are crammed with gift and craft shops, art galleries and welcoming local pubs including one of the oldest in Cornwall, The Sloop Inn. Artists love the town for its stunning scenery and the quality of the light. The Tate St Ives and Barbara Hepworth Gallery is located here.
